Yesterday the family Jenkins ventured north to the Lynnwood Rec Center for Finn’s sixth birthday party.  It was a bit late — I was in San Diego the weekend of his birthday and Rhonda was in Los Angeles last weekend — but it was better late than never.

Today was Finn’s fourth birthday and we celebrated it with many of his — and our — closest friends. The theme was “Penguins,” and there were a lot of them. Not real ones, of course.

Last week Ella Miksis hit the big oh three. Tonight it was Finn Jenkins. We had a very, very small gathering to celebrate his official graduation into toddlerhood — just the Beckers, Otterlees and Jenkinses.
