History will remember June 19, 2011 as the dawning of the Rory McIlroy era. The twenty-two year old Ulsterman played like a man among boys in winning the U.S. Open by eight shots at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. I will remember it as another day of good food, friends and family. It was Father’s Day, and the Moellers, Beckers and Benezra joined us for a little Father’s Day slash almost summer barbecue.
