Reese Hits the Wading Pool

If you’d have told me ten years ago that, in the prime of my career years I’d be blogging about taking my one-year old daughter to a wading pool at 4 pm on a weekday, I’d have said you were crazy. Yet as I wait for a Washington appellate court to weigh in on the definition of “gambling,” that is exactly what I did.

As much as I’d like to be building an American icon, this wasn’t a bad late afternoon.

Rhonda, Jonathan and I took Reese to the Green Lake wading pool yesterday, me by way of a one-mile open water swim of Green Lake along with my buddy Chris. (Jonathan took a pass.) Although neither was something I needed to attend law school for, both were, nonetheless, of the “boy I’m glad I’m alive” ilk. Pics below:

Can’t say I’ve seen that pink-striped bathing suit before, either. Query to Rhonda or any other mom out there: how many bathing suits does a 13-month old need?
